EMANZ, with EVO (the Efficiency Valuation Organisation) and AEE (the Association of Energy Engineers), delivers New Zealand’s only internationally-recognised Measurement & Verification (M&V) Training Course and Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) Exam. The Energy Efficiency Council in Australia also hold the same course every year and it's a sellout!
What's in it for you?
The verification of energy savings is an important aspect of energy management initiatives, and has a direct impact on project financing, greenhouse gas emission credit trading, and energy performance contracting. The most widely accepted protocol for savings verification is the International Performance Measurement & Verification Protocol (IPMVP).
Participants in the Measurement and Verification Training Course will learn how to design an M&V strategy for projects that complies with the IPMVP, and to manage the savings verification process for both internal and external reporting.
With the initials ‘CMVP’ behind your name, you are distinguishing yourself among those involved professionally in areas requiring the application of accurate and reliable measurement and verification methodologies. You have demonstrated high levels of experience, competence, and specialized knowledge within your field.
In addition to the knowledge gained from the Training Course, attendees will receive the following benefits:

EVO and CMVP
Starting in the 1990s, standardised approaches to energy efficiency Measurement & Verification were developed to assist developers, owners and financiers of projects. Today, the EVO-owned International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP®) is the leading international standard in M&V protocols. IPMVP has been translated into 14 languages and is used in more than 100 countries. It is now typically cited as the basis for federal, state and utility M&V protocols in the world and around the world.
EVO provides training workshops for M&V professionals in order to raise the standards in Measurement and Verification. Using its international expertise, the organisation develops special workshops and training programs tailored to the needs of specific regions.
EVO, in cooperation with AEE, offers the Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) designation worldwide. The right to use the CMVP title is granted to those who demonstrate proficiency in the M&V field by passing a 4-hour written exam and meet the required academic and practical qualifications. EVO's certification level training is offered as preparation for the exam and as a review of basic principles for experts.
