Why were the Groups established?
The Groups have been established to enable energy professionals with specific interests, eg, auditing, local government energy management issues, to come together to discuss and share experiences, and where appropriate, resolve issues in a collaborative way. These Groups aim to facilitate discussion amongst leaders in specific energy fields and to learn from one another's experiences. Each Group works towards providing information and resources for the benefit of all EMANZ Members and their customers.
How are the Groups operated and what do they do?
Each Focus Group has a Convener and Committee.
Each Group works towards the delivery of a number of tasks and outcomes as set out in their Annual Work Programmes or Terms of Reference (as appropriate). In particular the Groups aim to deliver specific information, develop training and learning opportunities and provide a range of regional forums or events or teleconference presentations.
The Groups work to an agreed Focus Group Protocol. They meet regularly and report to the Executive Officer.
