As with any Accreditation Scheme it is important that accredited individuals maintain high standards and keep their experience up to date.  Accredited Energy Auditors must maintain their accreditation status through the EMANZ reaccreditation proces every 5 years.

This has become mandatory from the 1st of April 2012

The process for reaccreditation is set out in Document AEA02.  A reaccreditation summary table also provides all you need to know about reaccreditation.

The following are required as part of an application for reaccreditation:

  • A reaccreditation application form.
  • Evidence of at least 20 hours (annually) of continuing professional develop in areas relevant to energy auditing (total of 100 hours evidence is required);
  • Details of three Level 2 Energy Audits completed by the auditor in the previous 5 years, one of which was completed in the previous 18 months; and
  • A full copy of one of the three Level 2 Energy Audits.
