Smart Cities

The theme of the Conference is “Smart Cities” and will focus on the energy issues relating to the development of New Zealand's cities. Topics will incorporate the task ahead for the Christchurch rebuild, and how all New Zealand cities can become smarter in their use of energy.

Due to the situation in Christchurch as a result of the earthquake, venues and accommodation is limited. As a result we do not have a large area for exhibitors stands, so there will be a limited number available.

If you want to secure accommodation then you will need to book early. We can only hold the accommodation rooms for a short period of time as builders and construction people are likely to start seeking accommodation.

We have arranged special conference rates at the Copthorne Hotel Commodore (conference venue) and the Sudima Hotel (at airport just up the road).

Transport

The Copthorne Hotel Commodore is close to Christchurch International Airport. It has a courtesy coach that runs between the airport and hotel throughout the day. Please call them from the Freephone at the baggage carousel and they will send one of the shuttle vehicles.

For those staying at the Sudima Hotel, this is next door to the airport and walking distance. The Sudima will be providing a courtesy coach to transport people to the conference venue.

The distance between the airport and the Copthorne Hotel Commodore is less than 2 kms if you would like to walk.
